Autism, Yeast Candida Infections and Associated Illness’s

A compelling piece of evidence comes from an exceptional doctor, Dr Andy Wright a leading CFS expert here in the UK and not so incidentally a chronic fatigue victim himself. Dr Wright has recently attended [2005] a series of Lyme conferences in the US as an expert guest speaker where he reported on his findings namely that he finds spirochetes in the blood of every patient suffering with chronic fatigue.

He also answers the puzzle of the cyclical nature of the illness. Dr Wright reports that the bacterium waxes and wanes on a cycle, two growth spurts per month – about 8/9 days and 30 days – Dr Wright’s microscopy experience tells us one day it can be exceedingly difficult to see any bacteria but a few days later the blood can be seen to be teeming with them.

Only 1% of bacteria will culture. Spirochetes are among the 99% of bacteria that do not culture. They are one of a group known as “Stealth” pathogens , stealth because spirochete’s in the early stages of infection [that can last for years] do not present to the IS as an antigen consequentially we do not produce antibodies against them. They have acquired the trick of mimicking the protein coat on the cell that marks it out as self, Unfortunately the fact that they may originate from the gut adds another layer of complexity, as you will read later.

More supportive evidence comes from a much-respected doctor Alan Cantwell whose research reveals that nanobacteria is implicated in Prostate cancer. Dr Cantwell also finds CWD [nanobacteria] in the sweat glands of his chronically ill patients. That fact becomes more interesting when linked with another piece of research from the Lawson Research Institute in Canada the research details the translocation of tagged bacteria from the gut to the vagina.

This finding is highly significant. It would seem that microbes are exported to other parts of the body via the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system distributes and balances moisture levels. Obviously the moisture originates from the stomach where it would pick up any pathogens. This would answer the question of why reoccurring vaginal bacterial infections and in particular recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis (RVVC) are not resolved with short mainly topical treatments.

“In a study that was reported in the Journal of Infection and Immunology, it was found oral penicillin administered to experimental animals reduced the total population of anaerobic bacteria by a factor of 1,000 including beneficial bacteria which are called Lactobacilli… As the good bacteria are killed off, the potentially harmful bacteria increase rapidly.

This study reported translocation of the harmful bacteria out of the intestinal tract and into the lymph nodes surrounding the intestinal tract. From these lymph nodes, these bacteria were then strategically placed to cause new infections throughout the body.

Looking at other published research, a landmark study back in 1977 found that RVVC was connected with Candida levels in the gut .The study hypothesised that the gut was in fact an intestinal reservoir for yeast infections .The medical profession disagreed, stating that contamination from the bowel was the explanation, that conclusion has shaped treatment for the last twenty years. Fast forward to 2005 and a further study finds that Oral probiotics can resolve urogenital infections. Bacteria taken orally are delivered to the vagina. The finding turns current thinking on it’s head. It looks like the original hypothesis back in 1977 was correct.

The same mechanism may be at work with psoriasis where a prescription Antifungal, Fluconazole has been found to be an effective treatment . Just to speculate further, breast cancer originates in lymphatic tissue!

Another significant piece of information is that research has shown that many healthy people have pleomorphic bacteria in the blood . It’s a medical fact that a large percentage of the population harbour potentially pathogenic bacteria particularly in the nasal cavities, including the bacteria that causes meningitis. But the blood has up to now been considered sterile, or at least if pathogens were present in the blood the IS would be activated.

Studies have found a unique agent, nanobacteria (NB), in kidney stones researchers have hypothesized that NB have an active role in calcium phosphate-carbonate deposition in the kidney” This information came from the US space program where it was found that astronauts were prone to kidney stone formation The duration in zero gravity is a factor, the longer the duration the larger the risk of kidney stones . Amazingly investigations have found that NB grows 4.6 times faster in zero gravity .

Perhaps this makes sense of the many who report that the flare cycles associated with a spirochete infection are in sync with spring and neap tides!
