Introduction to Yeast Candida Infections and Associated Illnesses
Here you can listen to a presentation that Gary Smith and I [Paul Jaep] were invited to give I spoke on the link between autism and the decline in the honey bee/pollinating insects. Gary Smith also explains the destructive role of inflammation in cancer and infection... Given at Cardiff University July 2011 and broadcast by Cardiff radio
Welcome to my site..My name is Paul Jaep I live in Worcestershire England.. Within my site I present evidence for an environmental catastrophe caused by bacterial antibiotics. We now face the biggest challenge in human history. Currently we have no future .. One in three mouthfuls of the food we eat is dependent on pollination at a time when a crisis is threatening the world's [Australia excepted] honey bees. At the current decline the honey bee in the UK will be extinct by the year 2018. In approx 6 years after that with the exponential growth of autism we in the developed world will be no longer producing healthy children. In short, our society is in meltdown.
Read in my site how autism and the demise of the honey bee are linked.[click “Antibiotic impact on animals and insects ,Bees" ..in menu top right]

Antibiotics downgrade the immune system in both human and in animals, insects. The balance of gut flora is permanently altered by bacterial antibiotics, the immune system [along with many physiological tasks] is driven by our gut flora Gut flora we have evolved with [Commensal] .Yeast proliferates when normal levels of bacteria are reduced; the metabolites of yeast are highly immunosuppressive. The resultant two stage insult to the immune system allows pathogens to infect. Autism is an infectious disease , caused by pathogens that are considered self by the immune system. The bugs neither culture nor elicit an immune response.

"The way humanity manages or mismanages it's nature-based assets, including pollinating insects, will in part define our collective future in the 21st century" Human beings have fabricated the illusion that in the 21st century they have the technological prowess to be independent of nature .Bees underline the reality that we are more, not less dependant on natures services in a world close to seven billion people" Alan Steiner UN 2011
The headline says it all, giving antibiotics to insects to kill/control them ..They are contemplating using them on an industrial scale. But the farmers have beaten them to it... Antibiotics in the environment are decimating our insect population, the honey bee grabs the headlines but all insects are affected. We in the UK contaminate farm land with 350 tons of antibiotic laced animal manure every year and that figure is increasing. In the USA the figure is nearer 30,000 [yes thirty thousand] tons, see .the animal and antibiotic sect for more on this ....who would now doubt that antibiotics have and are having a devastating effect on us and wildlife .. “The antibiotic treatment permanently reduced the diversity of the gut microbiota... In the paper, the researchers speculate that rifampin reduces fertility and longevity by disrupting mutualistic bacterial partnerships within the hosts”.
Below is part of a letter I sent to health ministers in Aug 2011 highlighting just one aspect of the destructive role of antibiotics
I received a very encouraging reply. But the reply made it clear that the matter was in the hands of the medical profession. No matter how much information is available if the medical profession do not act on it there’s little anyone else can do, as individuals that is.. ..Lets not forget that we are asking for doctors to regard antibiotics as a biological agents while still prescribing them. Recognition of that would be an invite for thousands to initiate legal action for compensation claims.
The media are strangely quiet on this, where is the watchdog press? Is it political correctness that stops debate? It needs public concern to bring this terrible situation to the fore.
To that end please write to Michael McCarthy, he is the environment editor for the Independent newspaper here in the UK. Attach the URL of my site and just ask the question.
Considering we in the developed world are in the process of terminal decline with the demise of the honey bee /pollinating insects and the exponential rise of autism and that the medical /academia are utterly bankrupt for an explanation, would he consider publishing an article based upon the information contained in my site .
The obesity crisis is not a consequence of overeating
..its not a case of calories in = weight on, as demonstrated by the many slim people who live exclusively on a diet of junk food. There must be a regulating factor ..That factor is normal gut flora ..We give animals antibiotics to fatten them up; [currently there are four different theories as to why this happens] antibiotics are doing the same for us.. read my “treatment” section for more..This recent paper [July 2011] backs up the argument .
Antibiotics that reduce gut bacteria linked to obesity – Independent newspaper
“Scientists believe that the widespread use of antibiotics may be playing a significant role in exacerbating the obesity epidemic.
Growing evidence suggests that oral antibiotic medicines may be affecting the growth of beneficial bacteria in the human intestine which is influencing whether some people put on weight when they overeat or take too little exercise, they said.”
The principle of antibiotics downgrading immunity in insects [bee's]... accepted
After months of correspondence with initially the office of Hilary Benn, minister for the environment and subsequently the office of Lord Davies who has special responsibilities for the honey bee decline I was invited to present my data on the role of antibiotics in the decline of the honey bee to scientists at the National Bee Unit, part of Fera’s research establishment near York.
I gave my presentation “A perspective on the decline of the honey bee” on July 12th 2010 to Mike Brown the head of the national bee unit and Dr Giles Budge research co-ordinator. I was accompanied by Gary Smith a friend and a great supporter of my hypothesis.
I was expecting a sceptical audience, and to a degree they were, after all they are scientists and my findings are quite radical ,they represent an unforeseen new mechanism in the food chain whereby
antibiotics promote immune suppression in bees, other insects, animals and humans. Fortunately in the best traditions nothing was lost on them, the discussion was in-depth and lasted three hours as information was sifted. Gary once again gave an appreciated explanation on the molecular drivers of cancer and infection.. How the immune system is capable of being manipulated by pathogens and cancer.
At the end of the presentation it was obvious as per the discussion that the two eminent men were very interested. They said that the national bee unit will now over the next four years be researching the role of antibiotics in the decline of the honey bee/ pollinating insects. They also added they had very limited resources.
Although this is the best outcome I could have hoped it’s clear that the situation is critical and emergency measurers must be taken now.
Mr Brown and Dr Budge did acknowledge the situation and agreed to my request to issue a statement to the effect that they found my hypothesis worthy of urgent further research ..That statement was issued on the 2nd August
To spur some action I have lobbied politicians. My MP Sajid Javid has sent on all relevant information to Caroline Spelman, member of Parliament for Meriden and Secretary of State for the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
I’m awaiting a reply ….
A report back on developments from Defra - Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs
This followed the reply issued from Mike Brown, head of the national bee unit and Dr Giles Budge ,research co-ordinator . Mr Harrington and subsequently Lord Henley [pictured far left] disagreed with my conclusions and no doubt the actions of Mr Brown and Dr Budge. The two men Incredible as it seems quote the official DEFRA stance which is .
“Over the last two years Britain’s bee colonies have suffered significant losses probably due to a combination of factors including the poor spring/summer weather, the varroa mite, and other husbandry issues”.
It’s a terrible complacency. They do not even acknowledge the global extent of the problem. A point that has not gone unnoticed elsewhere. Michael McCarthy, environmental editor for the much respected newspaper The Independent, commented in a recent article “Who do you believe Bob Watson or the status quo?”. Reporting that Bob Watson chief scientist [attached to DEFRA ] Dr Watson is not quite a household name, but he is regarded by some as Britain's most widely distinguished scientist was to look at other causes of the bee decline including pesticides while the rest of the DEFRA is busy assuring us that no such problem exists.
It's maybe no coincidence that the two men have very different backgrounds to Mr Brown and Dr Budge ..Lord Henley was called to the bar in 1977 and Mr Harrington spent a part of his working life in Naval reserve..hardly backgrounds that qualify them to challenge the science provided and Mr Brown ,Dr Budge conclusions ..Which perhaps explains in part why my questions/concerns as set out in the letter below which was sent Initially Mr Harrington, Director of Policy and Regulation, DEFRA: and subsequently to Lord Henley minister with special responsibilities for the honey bee/pollinating insect decline when he was asked to investigate were not answered
With such a stance they may well have squandered the chance to save our society ..Harsh words, ridiculous comment.. Read on ..
As above, I have not received a reply despite assurances from Mr Harrington that a reply would be forthcoming. I have received a reply from Lord Henley ,he did not answer any of my questions.
My letter of the 28 January 2011 to Mr Harrington ..the content is self explanatory
Mr Harrington ,
I’m somewhat disappointed that I have not received as promised a reply to my letter of the 7th Dec. Whilst I have been waiting I have been able to spend some more time considering the strategy and rationale behind FERA’s approach to the honey bee/pollinating insect decline and I am afraid that I remain unconvinced.
The crisis, even as I type this is deepening. The recent report on the need to produce 40 percent more food over the next 20 years to feed the ever growing population does nothing to calm the nerves, this extra production is expected from dwindling land and other resources .Couple that with the rapid decline of pollinating insects and the doomsday scenario becomes not the stuff of prophets of doom but an only too real situation.
It’s on that basis that I ask you to answer the following questions and address the contradictions.
To quote official policy FERA
“Over the last two years Britain’s bee colonies have suffered significant losses probably due to a combination of factors including the poor spring/summer weather, the varroa mite, and other husbandry issues”.
First let’s take the varroa mite scenario:
FERA recently and I feel very unhelpfully, released an article proposing altering the genetic makeup of the mite as a way forward in addressing the bee decline, the inference of course was the mite is the root cause of the honey bee demise. The article achieved little, it certainly reinforced embedded assumptions on the cause of the problem, but I think did nothing for science or FERA’s reputation. Apart from the very well documented long term risks with gene tinkering – it will likely not achieve anything.
The varroa mite is a symptom, a consequence of reduced immunity, an opportunist infestation. Why can I say that: The bee is but one of a myriad of insect species similarly affected practically all are experiencing a steep decline in numbers. I suppose it is possible that the bee has a standalone problem with the rest of the insect world suffering an unrelated problem but I think that that is most unlikely.
Also increasingly the mite Nosema Ceranae is also infecting the honey bee. Is this not unusual for this to occur in different locations within the same country, so, two mites infecting simultaneously, and in isolation of each other - a coincidence! Again I’d suggest it is very unlikely. Are you [FERA] considering perfecting a genetic weapon to be directed against Nosema Ceranae in addition to the Verona mite?
Feras official statement on the likely cause of the bee decline also quotes climate change along with poor husbandry. In my previous correspondence prior to the 12th July meeting, I asked the question - is it likely that simultaneously across most of the developed world husbandry standards have dropped while in Australia where the bee population is healthy standards have been maintained? Also the continent of Australia has several climes and is experiencing the effects of climate change in line with the rest of the world, so why are they not affected?
Australia also use all the pesticide the rest of the world do and considering France banned the use of the pesticide Imidacloprid [GAUCHO] in 1999 although undoubtedly very toxic since the ban honeybee colonies are still being lost in France, the same as most of the world. What do you think might be the logical explanation for this? I make the point again Australia have a very different policy on administering antibiotics to animals ..in short in Australia antibiotics are not used in “animal welfare”.
Looking at our situation in the UK, some scientists have voiced concerns for human health from eating crops that have taken up antibiotics. Should we not explore the probability that insects including bees are adversely affected, especially since we effectively spread approx 350 tons of antibiotics annually onto farmland via animal manure?
I will be most interested to read your response to this letter and my earlier correspondence. I feel I have a responsibility to the general public, indeed the rest of the world. My site in any one month is read typically in over 25 countries.
As an addendum I add this very telling study ..if you have any doubt on the devastating impact pharmaceuticals have on the environment this should dispel them.

The extract concludes with..... These results raise potential human health concerns of consuming low levels of antibiotics from produce grown on manure-amended soils

The current situation Oct 2011 is explained in the letter below , the management at DEFRA [ government.. Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs] just reiterate their stance and policy ,with no science whatsoever to back up their claims ..Which makes them more dangerous that any dictator in the past and far more [ultimately] effective that any terrorist group..Please make your objection known to your political representatives
Dear Ms Spelman .. [Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs]
I have been corresponding with you or at least with your department over the last few months through my MP Sajid Javid regarding the honey bee decline and the link with autism.
I was disappointed if not appalled to receive the disgraceful letter from Lord Henley in reply to my concerns/questions in my previous correspondence.
I’m very angry in fact; the reply was an insult, not just to me but to everyone in the country and beyond.
The letter was to say the least misleading. I am obviously regarded as an adversary. He claimed points raised had been answered in previous correspondence. They have not. Lord Henley claimed that the figures I supplied on the decline of the honey bee were some years old and out of date..The figures I supplied were the latest available and from the British Bee keepers association [BBKA], the same source for statistics that FERA rely on. The latest figures from the BBKA show again an unacceptably high number of hives lost last winter even though it’s acknowledged the cold dry weather of last winter should have ensured a high survival rate. We monitor honey bees, but the problem extends to all insects which also are suffering dramatic declines. Just to make the point again, it spells utter disaster, our very existence is at stake.
Lord Henley had the nerve to ask for proof. The point of the meeting at FERA was to set up experiments to prove my hypothesis. Following our meeting at FERA July 2010 where I presented my evidence on the causes of the decline Mike Brown head of the National Bee Unit and Dr Giles Budge Research Co-ordinator after three hours of discussions accepted my conclusions in principle and stated they would be investigating the role of antibiotics in the environment and at my request issued a statement to that effect. [Published on the introduction page of my web site]
This is new science no-one else is looking at antibiotics in the environment and the association with the decline in insects.
I’m appalled at the grotesque complacency of people in authority with this. As you can read in my updated site people in power offer no credible explanation, dismiss scientific evidence and cling to ridiculous infantile opinions on the causes of impending calamitous collapse of our agriculture with the disappearing bee/pollinating insect population. One of the flagship government departments DEFRA has invited ridicule with an utterly ridiculous assessment of the situation surrounding the decline of the honey bee /pollinating insects. The statement doesn’t even acknowledge the global extent of the problem or even a crisis.
. “Over the last two years Britain’s bee colonies have suffered significant losses probably due to a combination of factors including the poor spring/summer weather, the varroa mite, and other husbandry issues”. “
It’s ironic that governments spent billions on defence yet the biggest threat to western security ever it could be argued, is in the hands of two people, an Lord Henley an ex lawyer and Mr Harrington , who background includes working in our naval reserve. The politicians are happy with that it seems- words fail me.
A few weeks ago the famous Dr Lawrence Broxmeyer who serves with the N.Y. Institute of Research as a lead Medical Investigator wrote to me thanking me for my work and for the inclusion of one of his papers in my site. [Animal and antibiotic section] . My site inspired further research from him resulting in two further papers titled “Autism a Stealth Infection”[again they can be found in the animal and antibiotic section] the papers very much underpin my findings and I was very happy to agree to Dr Broxmeyer request to include them in my site ..
This strengthens the case of an infectious [stealth] cause of many modern day plagues. Dr Broxmeyer is not wrong, I am not wrong. As I have already stated, we now face the biggest challenge/threat in human history. We live in a rapidly deteriorating situation. The annual growth of autism has been calculated at between 10% and 17%. With the latest figures from a Cambridge study reporting that 1 in 60 newborns will develop autism. As it stands we do not have a future, we are not far from a runaway situation we cannot control, it’s arguable that we have reached that point now.. The world will be a very different place in just 15 years time and that’s a very optimistic timescale.
Following discussions on various aspects of infectious disease Dr Broxmeyer has made an extraordinary generous offer. Dr Broxmeyer has offered at no financial cost whatsoever to give his services to our country in directing trials treating /curing autistic children. Dr Broxmeyer intends to treat with a very specific combination of antibiotics; his expertise in this field is unrivalled. Dr Broxmeyer is also one of the world’s leading experts in treating Tuberculosis using Bacteriophage therapy [viruses that infect bacteria]... It gives us a chance, a glimmer of hope in this living nightmare. I would say it’s an offer we dare not, cannot, refuse.
My findings open a new insight on the prevention and progression of disease. I have a possible therapy to restore damaged gut flora. My hypothesis is held credible But it looks like the shock of the new threatens to stifle further research..I know that William Maton- Howarth Chief Research Officer for Public Health is interested, but I can say no more than that as our correspondence is private at the moment.
Further research on the detrimental effect of antibiotics is essential. I’ll just make the point that the medical profession have a history of ignoring obvious medical advances, as was demonstrated with the revelation back in the late eighties that the bacterium helicobacter pylori was responsible for most stomach ulcers and cancers, not stress as was the current thinking. It took at least a decade before recognition of that fact with many thousands of needless deaths as a result. With that in mind I make the following request.
I would ask that you intervene and arrange the fairly simple experiments based on credible scientific evidence to prove or otherwise my hypothesis. ..There simply couldn’t be more at stake.
I will forward this as an addendum to Andrew Landsley Secretary of State for Health to put into context Dr Broxmeyer’s very generous offer
Regards
Paul Jaep
People in the western world are now experiencing one of the most serious health crisis in living memory, perhaps ever.
Autism is estimated to touch the lives of over 500,000 families throughout the UK, with as many as 1.5 million Americans believed to have some form of autistic spectrum condition. These numbers can be expected to rise. Based on statistics from the United States Department of Education, autism is growing at a startling rate of 10–17 percent per year.
Without a medical breakthrough that brings understanding in the cause[s] of autism that hopefully will bring intervention, the graph will continue to chart the inevitable growth in autism cases. With the increased incidence the extra resources needed in both our medical/social services will not be available, the system will simply be overwhelmed. This is not conjecture but a mathematical certainty.
April 2010…Autism Rates Rocket – 1 in 38 British Boys – Cambridge Study
A new Cambridge University study’s figures show 1 in 38 British boys has an autistic condition. Autistic spectrum conditions are already costing the UK £28 billion per annum: “One child in 60 ’suffers from a form of autism” By Sue Reid, Daily Mail, UK 20th March 2009. The new study authors advise Government services planners to revise calculations of child service provision on a rate of 1 in 60 British boys and girls, but 4 in 5 cases affect boys.
Update August 2008 .. The US The Centre for Disease Control (CDC) states that 1 in every 150 children has an autism spectrum disorder. But a report from the Vaccine Autoimmune Project based on Department of Education statistics.
puts the autism prevalence at 1 in every 67 children,
Even that report only includes children who qualify for special education services through the autism eligibility category, and therefore potentially excludes thousands of children. .
The explosive growth tells us that the often quoted reasons namely “misdiagnoses” in the past and “genetic factors” for the increase in the diagnosis of Autism cannot be correct… There aren’t 1-67 adults suffering with autistic symptoms amongst us now.The explosive growth is confined to children and young people. Genetic factors in any condition/disease are progressive over many years and just would not be a factor with explosive growth in any condition.[see Current Medical Thinking] These facts tell us quite emphatically the cause must be environmental.
Update September 2008 .. Capitol Hill Briefing on Autism -- Wednesday, September 24, 2008This is a national emergency. We now have hundreds of thousands of children with autism in this country. The cost of care, education and housing for a person with autism runs up to 2 to 3 million dollars per person, and we have at least 250,000 people with autism in this country, so we are already up to the 700 billion, 750 billion dollar mark
Personal story
I accumulated information used in the site when I was obliged to research and self treat my own mystery illness [see references] In the late 1990’s.my much appreciated GP told me after many years of ill health that he hadn’t a clue what was wrong with me .. I purchased a computer to research my illness and within an hour of inputting my symptoms. which included massive unrelenting fatigue, so called irritable bowel syndrome, brain fog ect; I had found Dr Crantons paper which proved to be my personal Rosetta stone .Dr Cranton[click image for his paper] My much appreciated GP treated me as per Dr Crantons triple antifungal protocol with great effect . The meds also mediated symptoms for an infection I had developed around my left eye which I subsequently found was symptomatic to the last detail [Dr Fungus site] of a serious fungal condition peculiar to diabetics [which I am, care of infection] called Extension Oculomycosis .
Josh, 17 yr old autistic reduced to 84 pounds with untreated gut dysbiosis: Click image for Heather Edwards mother of Josh testimonial to UK GMC Panel
I was then referred to an infectious disease consultant who chose to abuse me in the most cynical way , telling me that my conditions were imagined the perceived effect of the drugs were a placebo effect and that yeast infections do not exist. Other consultants notably a reputed top fungal infection expert did acknowledge yeast infections but he still refused to treat me as in his words he only treated life threatening infections ..He did recommend his sister though also a doctor specialising in fungal infections, she would treat me at her private practice .
Both ignored my pronounced drooping left eye.... Having pulled the rug from beneath the feet of my GP I was forced to travel to the continent to purchase the necessary drugs to self-treat. The yeast infection took seventeen months to cure mainly with Terbinafine [Lamisil] at 250mg per day [see treatment section for more info]
It became apparent that inflammation played a big role in my illness although I didn’t know the mechanism driving it …Various sources had differing opinions, I then read an article in the Independent newspaper that highlighted Gary Robert Smith’s research on the destructive role of inflammation in both cancer [also an infection] and bacterial based infection .I contacted Gary who by chance lived quite close to me, we met , Gary gave me a fascinating one to one on the molecular drivers of cancer and infection which explained it all. We are now good friends and have teamed up in this regard we have attended many conferences. Although our respective hypotheses have been received well no further research has been undertook or proposed!
Gary Smith is the author of two influential papers detailing hitherto unknown mechanisms that cancer and pathogens use in disease progression. Gary’s initial paper is Cancer, inflammation and the AT1 and AT2 receptors The second paper published in 2009 is 'Learning from cancer: The adaptive growth, wound and immune responses' Gene Ther Mol Biol Vol 13, 158-185, 2009. Links can be found in the Reference section
Yeast infections have been known about for decades. the condition is endemic; Enormous amounts of knowledge on yeast infections are available. Whistle blowing doctors have successfully treated many thousands. those doctors conclude it's perhaps the main cause of chronic fatigue syndrome, [ME] Books written by those specialist doctors have become best sellers, Dr Crook’s book “The Yeast Connection” published back in the 1980's has sold well over one million and continues to sell.. Yet still the mainstream medical profession refuses to acknowledge yeast infections as a condition. You may wonder why
.
The General Symptoms of yeast are as follows ..
Fatigue and a sense of being "ill" and "drained" are the dominant symptoms. These are often accompanied by irritability, difficulty in concentration, slow mentation, in coordination, and vague feelings of being "spaced-out." Excessive lethargy may lead to a sense of drowsiness.
Musculoskeletal Symptoms
Vague muscle aches, muscular weakness, pain with or without swelling in multiple joints, and tightness in chest wall.
Gastrointestinal Symptoms
Abdominal cramps, bloating, excessive belching, abdominal distention, constipation with bouts of diarrhea, excessive mucus in stool and rectal itching.
Ear, Nose, and Eye Symptoms
Sore throat or scratchiness in throat, dry mouth, white coating on tongue and in other areas of mouth (thrush), bad breath, nasal itching, congestion and drip, recurrent sore throats, recurrent episodes of cough or bronchitis, recurrent infections or fluid in the ears, itchiness, burning or tears in eyes, and difficulty with hearing.
Genitourinary Symptoms
Frequent episodes of bladder infection, urinary urgency and frequency, burning on urination, frequent episodes of vaginitis, vaginal discharge or itching.
Doctors are very resistant to changing old concepts of diagnosis and treatment despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, because it is not what they were taught in medical school.
Doctors also have little incentive to adopt new concepts. We live in a political litigious, blame and claim society, a doctor makes a mistake and it could cost his/her career so the average doctor is very wary of embarking on anything new, on what may be looked on as experimental treatment.
Many family doctors would treat but first-line doctors need the security of knowing hospitals will pick up the case if things get tricky. Everyone cautiously waits for the formal blessings of experts before proceeding. But those experts “consultants” steadfastly refuse to acknowledge yeast infections leaving the first line doctors little choice but to throw scorn on the concept of yeast infections. Very often giving the patient a diagnosis of psychological illness dubbed by many as AITH [all in the head]
Doctor’s peers viciously persecute any of their number who upsets the status quo. Even simple methods to improve medical quality are often met with fierce resistance.. A prime example is the fate of Dr Wakefield who is the target of a modern day witch hunt. One of his common sense suggestions is that the triple MMR vaccine should be suspended in favour of single vaccinations while the awful situation surrounding autism is better understood.
These types of actions give rise to an uneasy, but quite realistic, suspicion that this gap between what we know about diseases and what we do to prevent and treat them will become even wider.
The factors combine to place us medically speaking in the Dark Ages , it’s easy to see that your trusted doctor is in fact given these circumstances your worst enemy .
It’s a tragic situation for we now know that 22% of all cancers are caused by infection and that figure is steadily rising. [Professor Max Parkin National Cancer Research Institute conference. 2005] .
Update sept 2010...Although overall mortality from cancer is decreasing in the European Union, its incidence increased by almost 20%, from 2.1 million new cases in 2002 to 2.5 million in 2008, says a special issue of the European Journal of Cancer
Today, of the 10 million cancers diagnosed each year throughout the world about a third of them are the result of chewing and smoking tobacco.
A strong theme in all the UK cancer conferences during 2007 was the inescapable fact that with the increasing incidence of most cancers there must be an environmental; cause.
Most believe carcinogens are the cause and that man has put the vast majority of carcinogens into the environment, and he can , if he wishes eliminate many of them
One flaw in that argument, many scientists believe, is that the human body has always had to deal with traces of environmental chemicals. From the smoke in primeval huts and tar that our ancestors painted their boats to the charred meat that they ate.
Moreover, the natural world is full of chemicals that caused cancer, which are very similar to their man made counterparts. Fruit and vegetables such as bananas, basil, broccoli, lettuce, parsley and turnips contain natural pesticides in order to ward off predators, which when dabbed on the backs of mice also create cancer.
A typical human diet contains natural carcinogens at one thousand times the quantities of the traces of artificial contaminants.
So although there may be small, marginal risks from low levels of industrial chemicals in the environment, they pale into insignificance compared to other risks .
However for people who work with pesticides- farmers, workers in the pharmaceutical industry they have an increased risk of developing cancer.
So , we have evolved to cope with natural toxins we encounter every day . What other possible causes are there. Well , gene mutation is a proven cause , for example ,Colon polyps generally occur when a few genes mutate, and they turn into cancer when a few more are damaged. The requirement for a series of genes to mutate is why cancer is predominantly a disease of old age. Gene mutation is not a convincing argument to explain cancers in the young
.
Other diseases are now linked with infection including asthma, arthritis heart disease even Parkinson’s disease. Yeast undoubtedly impacts on health in a profound way and by denying its existence a whole new area of research is being overlooked.
You believe you may have found an effective treatment, or even cure, for so-called autoimmune diseases, including cancer. What is the basis of this cure?
